Step 1. Add to an appropriately sized flask. For the small gel rig, you will need 75ml total and can use a 200ml flask.

Agarose

0.75 g

Step 2. Bring to 75ml with LAB buffer.

1x Lithium Acetate Borate (LAB) Buffer

75 mL

Step 3. Microwave for ~1:50, or until agarose is completely dissolved.

Step 4. Add sybersafe and swirl to mix. Try not to add bubbles.

SYBR Safe DNA Gel Stain

7.5 μL

Step 1. Add to 1x LAB stock bottle.

25x Lithium Acetate Borate (LAB) Buffer

40 mL

Step 2. Bring final volume to 1000 mL with distilled water.
